ABOUT PROJECT
Working with former Mrs. Nebraska winner - Debbie Gray and mental health therapist and instructional designer - Tammy Olson, I illustrated the book entitled, "Alex and his Balanced Body Bands". In coordination with the book's concept, this mobile app I developed helps parents and their children coordinate their efforts to track their day's healthy behaviors.
Website Design
This easy-to-use web application was built using PHP and MySQL Database. It was used by over 1200 elementary students in the Omaha metropolitan area. PHP coding stores the user's information in a MySQL database.
Join Rylee and Logan on their magical encounter with Alex Chan, the healthiest super hero in the land. By sharing his incredible stories Alex changes their unhealthy habits by revealing the steps for a healthier, balanced life. Your children will want to join Alex and start making healthier choices immediately after reading the book. The softcover book is 35 pages with vivid illustrations that detail the Balanced Body Program of healthy living. Purchase includes full members only access to the website containing additional details and suggestions for living a healthy, balanced life.

Illustration and Book Design
I illustrated my first children's book with the help of my wife Robin Whitehead. The story was written and published by former Mrs. Nebraska winner Debbie Gray and mental health therapist and instructional designer Tammy Olson. This video was made to help promote it.
Awarded $25,000.00 grant
We were awarded a $25,000.00 grant through Children's Hospital & Medical Center and Creighton University College of Nursing for preventing childhood obesity. This grant will provide funding for an online web application I developed to help children and parents track their 7 daily healthy habits. This grant also provided funding for a book written by Debbie Gray and Tammy Olson which I illustrated along with Robin Whitehead.
John Knicely, news anchor from Channel 6 News presented the awarded grants.
